With over 200 residential centers, Teen Challenge has a place for you or the one you love. There are over 100 centers for men. There are also facilities for women, boys, girls, and even families.
Our mission is to provide youth, adults and families with an effective and comprehensive Christian faith-based solution to life-controlling drug and alcohol problems in order to become productive members of society. By applying biblical principles, Teen Challenge endeavors to help people become mentally-sound, emotionally-balanced, socially-adjusted, physically-well, and spiritually-alive.
Participants typically get up early in the morning and have little free time. That's because the schedule is full with devotions, chapel, discipleship, bible reading, work projects, recreation, meals, and education (for teens).
People are changed by the power of God in their lives. We focus our activities in order to facilitate growth spiritually, physically, emotionally, socially, and educationally.
Upon graduation, people are encouraged to remain active in their local churches. It is this activity that will help people recovering from addictions.
Teen Challenge offers three programs. The one that is offered at every location is called, Group Studies for New Christians. Offered at various locations are two additional programs. The first is, Personal Studies for New Christians. The second is, Living Free: Discovering God's Path to Freedom.
